They say time flies when you are having fun. How these past six weeks have flown by!
It has been an absolute pleasure being a Mentor for a group of talented, creative, caring, sharing and remarkable photographers in the Practice Makes Perfect Magic Mentorship through +G+Mentorship Program for Photographers.
There, indeed, was magic created with cameras. But, more importantly, the magic really began when all involved began sharing much more than f stops, shutter speeds, and lessons. The community began sharing from their creative hearts.
What began as a group of strangers and some already formed acquaintances, has turned into a community of friends that will continue to support each other outside of this experience.
I have had the pleasure of being both a menthe and now a mentor in a mentorship offered by +G+ Mentorship Program for Photographers. If you have the opportunity to be either, I highly recommend it!

For anyone who has read this far, consider mentoring someone else here (or more) ... some people don't even know where to start with their cameras and you could be the change they need in their lives. Even the smallest bit of knowledge can be passed on and you can create your mentorship in many different ways. Imagine the feeling of taking someone to their next level, paying forward the knowledge you've received and watching someone blossom with enthusiasm and accomplishment!

*Practice MakesPerfect Magic Mentorship #PMPM with instructor Mary Presson Roberts
Six short weeks ago a group of strangers started a mentorship together, coming from all over the world and a spectrum of places on our photographic journeys. As we learned new skills and put them to practice, this group of strangers magically melded into a group of friends, willing to give constructive criticism, console when life was tough and celebrate the victories.
This is my fourth mentorship through the G+ Mentorship Program for Photographers and each has been life-changing in its own way. Mary Presson Roberts lessons have given me new tools to add to the toolbox and sharpened some tools I forgot where in there. Best of all it has introduced me to a great group of folks I now have the pleasure of following on their journeys! It is true that we learn as much from each other as we do the instructor, making these mentorships a double bonus package! I enjoyed seeing us all stretch our photographic skills and take on new challenges that we may not otherwise have embraced.
I cannot say enough good things about the G+ Mentorship Program for Photographers, bringing together great instructors and moderators, pairing them with eager learners, it has been a privilege to be a part of this program !
