The end of my third 12-week mentorship arrived here at Google+ , the G+ Mentorship ART Program for Photographers through the G+ Mentorship Program for Photographers that I run here, along with Ron Clifford andTamara Pruessner.

It is with mixed feelings that I come to the end of each mentorship; sad about the close of a very intense time with a great group of people that I have grown to love over the weeks, but very happy to read of the triumphs that the members have had from the time. The quality of the work from these folks has certainly been enough to eclipse any melancholy I might feel. Thank you for letting me share with you their works from that time over these few weeks. PLUS post | Final

14 weeks ago, when I was accepted into the G+ Mentorship Program for Photographers, I did not exactly know what I would get myself into.

By reading the posts from other photographers I followed, I knew the program was fantastic, but I had no clue who Robin Griggs Wood was. By the time I went through the mentee selection process, I worried a bit on how demanding the program would be. Not that I was afraid of creating the many images the program required, but I felt constrained by the organizational and behavioral boundaries which would make me so prone to a faux-pas!

Half way into the program, I realized this was all prep work. We learnt indeed fabulous new tools to create visual art. These are tools which, as a photographer, you may already know intuitively. However, I had neither the vocabulary to describe nor the ability to repeat the composition, the colors or the harmony of my favorite images or of work that inspired me.

The 15 images in this album are the result of this learning.

But more importantly, Robin gave here time and energy to teach us how to trust ourselves into being and developing this artist we all are inside. This is where everything came together and the tight community this program has created enabled everyone in the group to strive. Robin planted this seed that more than ever entices me to not only grow my skills by experimenting and learning more, but to also pass this on to others who are eager to develop their own artistic skills.

Everything I have learnt over these past 14 weeks would not have been possible without the help of some wonderful Alumni in the program: Alex Lapidus, Tawni Henlin, Doug Welch, Todd Green, Craig Szymanski, Doug Welch, Sam Breach to only name a few.
