For anyone who has read this far, consider mentoring someone else here (or more) ... some people don't even know where to start with their cameras and you could be the change they need in their lives. Even the smallest bit of knowledge can be passed on and you can create your mentorship in many different ways. Imagine the feeling of taking someone to their next level, paying forward the knowledge you've received and watching someone blossom with enthusiasm and accomplishment!

Week 9 Mini Project Presentations
Dilapidated
I was undecided between two themes for my mini project. I decided to looks at the images I’ve taken in the last nine week. I came up with three themes. Then I decided to choose the theme I took the most images of. The winner is the theme “Dilapidated”. I learned from this mentorship that in street photography people are not my main subject. My subjects where mainly clouds, shadows, nature and structures. Every time I would see a run down building or home I would say what happen. What cause the business or home to not exist anymore. The images invoked emotions, questions and wonderment in me.
Before this mentorship I had not thought in terms of themes, Elements, Principles of Composition, Fine Art, Color Terms nor The Color Wheel. Not to leave out How to Critique and post processing. We received a sampling of these topics. Each topic can easily have it own mentorship. We were exposed to much and I hope in my images you will be able see some of what we have learned.
At the beginning of this mentorship I was concerned about playing with the sliders when editing. I was afraid of the unknown, not realizing there was an undo button in case I did not like the outcome. Through this course my confidence has built and I was encourage to play with the sliders and play I did. I even smiled while I was editing.
I am very thankful and grateful to Brian Wood-Koiwa Robin Griggs Wood Alex Lapidus and Ron Clifford for the great opportunity to participate in this mentorship.
