Week 8 Graduation post

I took part in the +G+ Mentorship Program for Photographers initiated by +Robin Griggs Wood and +Ron Clifford and the blurry brothers +Alex Lapidus and +Heiko Mahr.
It is an eight weeks journey on exploring the unsharp and blurry world in photography in a guided mentorship and a private community for safe trial and error shootings.
It was an amazing journey!
I grew up with the dogma: I need to have tackle sharp photos because this is what a photo is meant to be.
And sometimes this is still right.
But for me the Blur photo adds not only a new sight of the world - it changed me as well. I made more experiments, shot more photos in eight weeks than in a year before. And as always - with practice comes confidence. I tried photos I would not have thought of and posted them in our community. A little bit worried if they would be right.
And the community responds. Always constructive, comforting, cheering, friendly and sometimes the comments touched me to tears...
We learned a lot. From "simple" out of focus to layers or ICM, zooming and filters. We had great teachers! They provided us with all their knowledge and helped when we were stuck.
We did post processing and pre processing. And most of the time I had an idea what the photo should look like. And sometimes it worked out.
But the real fun in shooting blurry photos is the surprise when you open it at the computer. Even the ones you thought of deleting right away turned out at least interesting:)

The group of mentees were gorgeous! So many talented and extraordinary artists went with me through eight weeks of learning and having shere fun. And I learned so much from them as well.
I'm a little bit sad it is all over.....

But I found not only co mentees - I found friends in Blur!!
