For anyone who has read this far, consider mentoring someone else here (or more) ... some people don't even know where to start with their cameras and you could be the change they need in their lives. Blurs and unfocused photography the final chapter and photo album.
I been thinking long and hard what I wanted to express. The last 8 weeks I have been on an amazing journey called the Blurs and Unfocused photography mentorship. This has been such a wonderful experience. A voyage I wont soon forget. Being here has opened my eyes to another world one of feeling and imagination. For most of us we put photography into different boxes with hard set rules for each. Its about reality, clear communication, like coloring within the lines. But what if someone steps outside those lines and finds a brave new world to discover. And that is what Alex Lapidus and Heiko Mahr did. And better yet once they got good at it they came back to get others to learn and experiment with. Guided play he called it. He gathered others from all over the world to join in and then opened his toolbox and taught us. What an amazing gift and to that all I can say is thank you to him and the others who bounced ideas and words of encouragement from one to another in our group and past groups. I hope we stay in touch.
This is what G plus mentorships are about the sharing of ideas and knowledge.Thanks Robin Woods and Ron Clifford for creating this site and encouraging others to share. This is how photography should be developed. One person taking his time to share his knowledge with others who work together to build on that knowledge and then passing it on to the next generation. So if you have the opportunity to take one don't pass it up
