For anyone who has read this far, consider mentoring someone else here (or more) ... some people don't even know where to start with their cameras and you could be the change they need in their lives. Even the smallest bit of knowledge can be passed on and you can create your mentorship in many different ways. Imagine the feeling of taking someone to their next level, paying forward the knowledge you've received and watching someone blossom with enthusiasm and accomplishment!

The End of the Beginning
This is the last post - the graduation post for the mentorship led by Alex Lapidus and is part of the G+ Mentorship Program for Photographers founded by Robin Griggs Wood .
The quality of the experience almost defies description. It's been an alchemy of talented, experienced and generous teachers and fellow students. It produced a potent environment in which to take risks and grow. It encouraged expansion and pushed me out of my comfort zone and into that ether where the past meets the present and shapes the future.
I learned how to become more intimate with my camera as I let it move with me to capture the essences of my subjects. I learned to look at things in new ways. I learned to create images that were filled with emotion as well as visual content.
And now the formal part of the class is over. But not the inspiration, or the friendships, or the lessons learned.
I move into the future with more tools and building blocks than ever before. I am filled with ideas and will spend a lifetime playing with them.
These mentorships are offered at no charge. What you get out of them is invaluable. Take a look and see if one of the subjects catches your eye and apply - get involved. You'll never look back.
Thank you, Alex, for choosing me for this journey; for providing such a rich environment in which to grow. Thank you Heiko Mahr for pushing me to apply - it exceeded all expectations.
