"An unsharp image, consisting of colors, shapes and movement, evokes feelings. Fantasy takes over and emotions stir as the eye flows with the impressions of what we see....or what we think we see. To experience the sensation generated by such an image is wonderful. To be capable of creating such an image is exhilarating!" -- Carmen Mandich

Thanks for sharing your experiences from the recent Blurs and Unsharp Photography: Guided Play 2016 program with Alex Lapidus!

For anyone who has read this far, consider mentoring someone else here (or more) ... some people don't even know where to start with their cameras and you could be the change they need in their lives. Even the smallest bit of knowledge can be passed on and you can create your mentorship in many different ways. Imagine the feeling of taking someone to their next level, paying forward the knowledge you've received and watching someone blossom with enthusiasm and accomplishment!

#PlusPost  Week 8: The End of the Beginning

During the past 8 weeks I have discovered that an image does not need to be perfectly sharp to capture our imagination. An unsharp image, consisting of colors, shapes and movement, evokes feelings. Fantasy takes over and emotions stir as the eye flows with the impressions of what we see....or what we think we see. To experience the sensation generated by such an image is wonderful. To be capable of creating such an image is exhilarating!
When Blurs and Unsharp Photography; Guided Play 2016 was offered as a mentorship, the air vibrated with nerves and excitement for me. The thrill generated by unsharp images sparked my curiosity and I needed to find out how they were created. With the exquisite guidance and talent of Alex Lapidus along with all the creative photographers who give of their time and of their very spirit, I am just beginning to explore another dimension in photography.
G+ Mentorship Program for Photographers and Robin Griggs Wood offer various fabulous mentorships to asist photographers of all levels to develop their creative selves. Seize the opportunity to touch the heart, spirit and imagination with your creations by participating in a fun filled, "learn while you shoot" program. You will never view photography, or learning in general, in the same way again. Discover that special something in you that you never imagined and makes you unique! I highly recommend it for everyone. Don't miss out!!!
I would like to take this moment to thank each and every photographer in this mentorship, every one... a dear friend, for a journey that has touched my very spirit, sparked my imagination and changed me forever. Thank you ALL!!!
