For anyone who has read this far, consider mentoring someone else here (or more) ... some people don't even know where to start with their cameras and you could be the change they need in their lives. Even the smallest bit of knowledge can be passed on and you can create your mentorship in many different ways. Imagine the feeling of taking someone to their next level, paying forward the knowledge you've received and watching someone blossom with enthusiasm and accomplishment!

At the beginning of summer Alex Lapidus was kind enough to accept me into his Blurs and Unsharp Photography Guided Play 2016 that was made possible thanks to G+ Mentorship Program for Photographers . For eight weeks we have been going through series of assignments leading to intentionally blurry images obeying only one strict rule: ‘go out and shoot’. We have learned how to defeat anti-shake mechanisms modern cameras have, to shoot in low light and to create low light, to intentionally move our point of view and to capture moving subjects. We also practiced creation of such effects in post-processing. We tried free-lensing, photographed through optically imperfect objects, used smoke and mirrors.
