For anyone who has read this far, consider mentoring someone else here (or more) ... some people don't even know where to start with their cameras and you could be the change they need in their lives. Even the smallest bit of knowledge can be passed on and you can create your mentorship in many different ways. Imagine the feeling of taking someone to their next level, paying forward the knowledge you've received and watching someone blossom with enthusiasm and accomplishment!

For the past 7 weeks I participated in a G+ Mentorship Program for Photographers With mentor Pam Boling. It was a time to hone our photography skills by following lessons and shooting photos for each assignment. It is always fun to have a purpose when going out to shoot and Pam kept us reaching for new heights in our images. My fellow mentees and myself worked hard to complete our weekly projects. We stumbled, struggled and stressed our way to the finish line and learned a lot of new compositional tools. We looked, we saw , we clicked and we posted our best each week.
I always have some idea of a composition in mind when I click the shutter. Usually the rule of thirds but now I have more tools to think about before the click. Value comes to mind as one I had not thought of often but I will look for subjects that fit the bill in the future.
Thank you, Pam, for taking on such a large group from your original plan.
That was a very brave thing to do.
I will be watching G+ for posts from my new circle of friends and I had already been following a few of you.
